Compounded Medications
Choosing a compounded medication is not solely a decision based on convenience, but also of necessity. There are a variety of medications that are not available in dosage forms designed for veterinary patients. Attempting to administer a medication in a form that the animal may not tolerate, can be time consuming, cost prohibitive and often dangerous, be it resulting in the direct injury to the person attempting to give the medication, or the consequences from the animal not receiving the exact dose they require.
